Music Room

Music nurtures the heart as much as other subjects train the mind. Our music room is a dedicated space where students can learn, practise and perform without distraction.

The room has instruments, e.g. harmonium, tabla, dholak, keyboard, guitar, drums and is used for both vocal and instrumental training. Students learn the basics of rhythm, melody and sur, and take part in group singing, devotional songs, patriotic songs and folk music. Those who show special interest receive extra guidance for solo and ensemble performances.

Students perform at the morning assembly, national day celebrations, annual functions and inter-school competitions. Regular practice improves concentration, memory and discipline, and performing before an audience builds confidence and stage presence. Above all, music brings students together and gives them a joyful way to express themselves.
